BandCon Announces Win A Rack Winner As It Opens New Phoenix Facility

COSTA MESA, Calif., October 19, 2009 — BandCon, a leading internet infrastructure services provider, is pleased to announce the winner of its Win a Rack Promotion to kick off the launch of its new Phoenix data center. The new 1,400 square foot facility, with capacity for 52 customer cabinets, is the latest in the company’s network expansion efforts. BandCon’s network now exceeds over 45 points of presence or NAX (Network Access Exchanges). A NAX is an entrance facility point onto the BandCon Content Delivery System™ a full suite of internet infrastructure services including IP Transit, Transport, Colocation, CDN, Cloud Computing and access to the major peering exchanges around the country. See www.bandcon.com/nax_list.php for complete list of cities.

The new space located at 120 E. Van Buren, Phoenix, AZ is the central hub for network connectivity in the city. This facility makes for an ideal location for companies considering disaster recovery locations due to its proximity to several major peering exchanges and advantageous climate conditions. “BandCon’s expanded presence in Phoenix is a logical place for us since our engineering and 24X7 network operation center staff have been located here for some time. This proximity allows us the opportunity to provide a white glove approach for our customers who require a more comprehensive managed services experience.” said Mike Flatin, Co-Founder and COO. Our new data center offers many features our customers appreciate, such as: 24X7 key card access, BandCon maintains 100% control of all cross-connect facilities for easier, one point of contact as well as a turnkey offering of tools and state of the art equipment once in the datacenter to support monitoring and installation needs. One lucky company will now get to experience those capabilities first hand as BandCon awards its Win A Rack promotion to OnePacket, Inc. Based upon the tremendous response for the contest, the company has launched a new campaign based upon the amount of interest for the space. The new Phoenix expansion comes on the heels of BandCon expanding into Canada earlier this year with a NAX deployment in Toronto, Canada. The company owns and operates a fully redundant MPLS backbone network with robust ISP connectivity (AS26769) for direct private and public peering arrangements all over the world.
